Volume and Surface Area of Prisms

 Volume:

The Volume of prisms can be calculated by multiplying area of cross-section and length.

formula - area of cross-section * length

Area of cross-section: it the area where you via the shape and the shape and area remains same

Different formulas are used for different area cross-section, here are few examples:
Area of cross-section of a cylinder: π*r^2
Volume of a cylinder: Area of cross-section of a cylinder * length
where:
r=radius

Surface Area:

Surface area of a 2-d shape is adding area of it's all sides.

But there are formulas for few:
surface area of a cylinder: =area of circle*2 + area of rectangle
                                           =2πr^2 + 2πrh
here:
length- 2πr
